Htilominlo ( King Nadaungmya's Work of Merit Tilokamingala Chedi )
On the road from Nyaung-Oo to Bagan , if one turns and follows the road that leads to the Htilominlo Cave Temples a little distance away, you will reach the northern archway of the walled enclosure of the pagoda. it is one of the last monuments of the Bagan Era left in its orginal state. According to the stone inscription record, King Nadaungmya , whose regal title was Thiritri Buwanna Dititrapawara Dhamma Raza, built this pagoda on Thursday , the first waxing day of the Myanmar month of Tagu in the year ME 569. This great pagoda,which is over 7000 years and nearly 800 years old,is decorated with fine plaster carvings of floral designs, frstooned Oger heads on the arch pediments, friezes and plasters. The roof and terraces are faced with green glazed tiles on the terraces and corners although nearly 800 years old still glow when touched by the sun's rays.
Shwezigon Pagoda ( King Anawrahta)
King Anawrahta's Shwezigon Pagoda There are four religious monuments built of stone in Bagan and they are; 1. The Pitaka Taik or Setku Taik at the foot of Mt.Tuyin 2. The Great Shwezigon Pagoda 3. Kyaukgu Umin ( Cave ) and 4. Nan Hpaya The stone for the shwezigon was quarried from the Tuyin Mountain and bricks made from it according to size. The stone hewn and obtained from the mountains was then conveyed hand to hand by people standing one behind the other in rows of three and the line of people stretched from Tuyin Mountain to the site of the Shwezigon Pagoda. There was however sufficient gap between each row to provide space for handing over the slabs of stone.

အာနႏၵာ အာနႏၵာလုိဏ္ဂူဘုရားသည္ က်န္စစ္သားမင္း ( ၁၀၈၄-၁၁၁၃)ေကာင္းမူ႔ေတာ္ၿဖစ္ေလသည္။နႏၵမူလလုိဏ္ ဂူေတာ္တြင္ သီတင္းသုံးရာမွ ပုဂံေနၿပည္ေတာ္သုိ႔ ၾကြေရာက္လာခဲ႔ေသာ ရဟႏၱာအရွင္ၿမတ္မ်ားကုိ အေၾကာင္းၿပဳၿပီး (၁၀၉၀) ၿပည္႔ႏွစ္တြင္ ထုိလုိဏ္ဂူေတာ္ပုံအတုိင္း အာနႏၵာလုိဏ္ဂူေတာ္ကုိ တည္ေဆာက္ ေစခဲ႔ေၾကာင္းရာဇ၀င္က်မ္းမ်ားတြင္ဆုိေလသည္။
Ananda Temple Pagoda In ( Historical City Bagan Myanmar)
Pantawt- Decorative work in relief with stucco The decorative stucco figures in relief can be seen above the arched antrance. It shows figures of celestial beings against a background of clouds and in the inner corridors are ornamental backdrops of archways that let in light as well as stucco floral designs and figures. Then in the prayer hall one can see celestial beings who are guardians of the world against a background of flowers in relief. The sleeve cuffs, bangles,necklace and waist bands worn by these figures are picked out in detail in stone sculpture. The excellence of the stone sculpture is also seen in the carved figures of eight other large celestial beings.
The Ananda Temple Constructed for Homage by King Hti Laing also know as King Kyansittha There are over four thousand Pagodas and Temples in Bagan and of these there is a Saying " Dhammayan for Mass , THabyinnyu for Height , Ananda for Grace and Shweaingon for Beauty". In Keeping with this saying all of the best and most delicate works of art can be found in the Ananda Temples.The original title of the temple was Nandamu Hlaing Gu ( The Nandamu Cave ) and it is also said that ' Anan' evolved over time to Ananda. " Ananda" means ' Very beautiful' in Sanskrit. Of the ten kinds of traditional arts and crafts eight of them are present altogether in this pagoda. The eight kinds of arts and crafts are: Pan Tamawt- Stone Sculpture Beautiful and proportionate stone sculptures are to be seen in the arched niches on the walls on both sides of the inner corridors. During this period, more than 2500 religious monuments,mostly Buddhist temples , Stupas and monasteries Were constructed in and around the City . At the end of the thirteenth century, the city ceased to be a political center, having the city ceased to be a political center , having falled victim to demographic disruptions, economic exhaustion, and military pressure from the mongols, though it kept its status as a scared center and a place of learning until the end of the last Burmese Kingdom.
